Our mission
This holiday season, we wanted to help give back to a community that is very near and dear to our hearts. Our goal is to give the homeless in Bellingham, Wash. a helping hand this holiday season. We ask for your support to make this a reality.
Giving Back with Dignity
We are making packets filled with gift cards for transportation and food, as well as a list of resources where they can seek help. The packets will be sold for $7 and we will also accept additional donations. This program is not for profit and all money collected will go towards making these packets.
Project Helping Hands originated in Seattle through the St. Vincent de Paul Society at the church of St. John the Evangelist in 2002, and has helped give over $160,000 worth to those in need. Its purpose is to help the homeless in a dignified way. With your help, we are independently expanding this project into Whatcom County. This is not meant to be a solution, but a way for you to help someone through the coldest time of the year.
